I’ve made a conscious decision to keep these seven glass beauties together because as a group you’ve got the start of a seriously good styling moment. Designed by Sidse Werner for Holmegaard in the 1970s, these iconic “Akande” (Water Lily) glass candle holders are a classic of Danish mid-century design. This generous group includes one large, two medium and four small holders.

    Textured pressed clear glass.

    This group includes:

    • 1 large Akande - Height 10cms, Width 15cms.

    • 2 medium Akande - Height 8cms, Width 13cms

    • 4 small Akande - Height 4.5cms, Width 10cms.

  • Excellent vintage condition. Clean, clear glass with no chips or cracks.

  • The biggest appeal of this group is the options it offers. Use all seven together or select just a few. Style them as intended with candles or use your imagination and fill them with whatever takes your fancy.

    I used them at Christmas as a table centrepiece, filled with a mix of candles, chocolates and candy canes. It looked awesome!
