  • The Hunt is designed for pieces that are exceptionally rare, investment-worthy, or have complex criteria. These finds require extended timelines, deep research, access to specialist channels and experienced navigation of the vintage and auction world. It’s a premium, detail-driven service for special acquisitions.

  • Rare pieces can take time to surface. While some appear quickly, many require weeks or months of monitoring. The process is steady, thoughtful and paced with the market - ensuring opportunities are never missed but never rushed. I’ll keep you updated throughout the search.

  • Because The Hunt covers rare, high-specificity or collector-level pieces, pricing is fully transparent and agreed upfront:

    • Flat sourcing fee (from $320) — covers research, consultation, monitoring, and the curated shortlist.
    • Optional success fee (%) - only charged if we secure a qualifying rare or collector piece. This is always agreed in writing before the search begins.

    This ensures the service remains open and straightforward but aligned with exceptional outcomes.

    1. Initial Consultation - After receiving your enquiry, we’ll schedule a short consultation to understand exactly what you’re looking for - the maker, era, style, provenance or the feeling behind the piece. From this we will agree a brief.

    2. Tailored Research & Market Monitoring - I begin a dedicated search across auctions, private dealers, estate collections, specialist networks and collector channels. This includes provenance checks, authenticity considerations and early indicators of value.

    3. Curated Shortlist - I present you with the strongest contenders available, along with notes on authenticity, condition, market history, pricing expectations and my recommendation.

    4. Support Through Bidding or Purchase - If you’d like assistance, I can help guide bidding strategy, evaluate auction estimates, communicate with sellers or advise on purchasing logistics.
